Many older people underestimate the negative impact that acne has on teenagers’ self-esteem. You have to keep in mind that you’re not the only one dealing with acne, and it’s completely normal. But of course, there’s always room for improvement. So here are five tips that can help with acne and help you achieve clear skin.

Water.

Drinking water is one of the easiest ways to achieve clear skin. Many people often forget to drink water, and their skin suffers the consequences…. Try to drink at least 2 liters a day (about eight glasses). Depending on your body weight and daily activity, you may drink more. However, do not exaggerate it of course. Otherwise there is a risk of getting water poisoning. Drinking 6 liters of water, for example, is absolutely not normal. You may think, “it’s just water, it won’t do much.” but don’t underestimate it !! Try it yourself.

Cut out sugar

Too much sugar is one of the main reasons people get acne. Now you might be thinking, “My friend next door is eating so unhealthily but has the clearest skin ever.” Here is the thing: some bodies just react faster to sugar. Your body is immediately warning you that you’re eating unhealthy, so that you can consider what you’re putting in your mouth. It’s actually a blessing that your body gives these signals so quickly. You’d rather know it now and pay attention to it before it’s too late, and you’re suffering from serious diseases, like diabetes and cancer.

Minimize fast food

The same thing goes for fast food. It’s just not nutritious and your body warns you about it by giving you acne.

Sleep

Try to get 7-8 hours sleep a day. Your skin condition improves while you’re sleeping.

Keep a simple skincare routine

A comprehensive skincare routine is unnecessary. You just need a gentle cleanser in the evening and a neutral moisturizer. Sunscreen in the morning is optional. If you wear makeup, start by washing your face with a cleansing milk or a gentle Korean cleanser. Then, wipe your face with a neutral micellar water on a cotton pad. And the last step is putting on moisturizer.

Using too many products can actually cause more acne, because it can damage your skin barrier. I experienced this myself with serums and harsh cleansers that are popular on TikTok.

Are you tired of getting new pimples almost every day?
